Description Book
Emotional Intelligence - By D. Goleman

Mr. Goleman describes in a clear style the concept of Emotional Intelligence and its critical importance to success in life. He also provides an account of the high cost of emotional illiteracy - an inability to recognize how we feel. The book's hopeful message is that it's never too late to educate ourselves about our feelings and as a result enrich our lives and those of others.

EI Advantage - By Patricia McBride

This book contains a wide range of exercises by doing which you will learn to recognise your own emotions, to properly identify the feelings of others and to communicate more effectively. Although emotional or binge eating are not the the specific target of the book, broadening your emotional awareness will reduce your dependence on these coping mechanisms.

The Food & Feelings Workbook - By Karen Koenig

This book links emotions specifically with eating disorders. It emphasizes that to overcome eating problems we have to learn to effectively handle emotions such as: guilt, shame, anxiety, helplessness, confusion, disappointment and loneliness. The book's exercises will enable you to learn from your feelings instead of burying them with food related coping mechanisms.

Breaking Free From Emotional Eating -
by Geneen Roth

Dieting and compulsive eating often become a substitute for intimacy. The author draws on personal experiences as well as testimonies of others about how it feels to live with the compulsion. The book also contains exercises that can help you to begin the process of regaining control of your feelings.

Becoming Vegetarian - by Melina Vesanto

This book contains a wealth of information that can help you to control your weight, simply by changing what you eat. Even if you binge, consuming foods high in fibre, for example, will add less excess weight to your body than binging on the same quantity of highly caloric foods. An important part of the book's message is that by taking control of your nutrition you can also extend your life.

Mega Yoga - By Megan Garcia

This book is another proof that virtually anyone, regardless of their starting physique, can do Yoga. The book teaches larger sized women how to align their practice with the special needs of their bodies. And it does so in the spirit of understanding and acceptance.
